At the end of March 2006 I visited the Vestry Hall again.  The contractors have been on site for a few weeks now, and they have completed much of the preparatory work.  The main differences are a full scaffolding crash deck filling the main hall, a break through into the top floor of the old caretaker’s flat, and the demolition of the off-shot kitchen (which will be rebuilt towards the end of the process).
