This is Amanda’s original page when she was pitching for the Vestry
Hall commission.
The Vestry Hall regeneration project will be a centre of learning for the
community. I would like to bring together the many cultures living in
the region and create work that provides a warm, safe welcome and
inspires creative thinking with a positive attitude. Working with the
local residents is an important aspect of the project because the work
will be in the community, for the community, it should speak for them.
I work mainly with kiln formed glass to produce wall panels, hangings
and architectural light sources. I like to make beautiful but thought
provoking pieces that encourage a second look.
