In February 2006 I went inside the vestry hall for the first time.  It’s a much larger space than it appears as you drive past, but in a terrible condition.  The floor of the main hall has two large holes from fires, and several rooms and the caretaker’s flat are fire damaged.  There are large cracks in some of the walls, and a lot of evidence of resident pigeons...

However, the spaces are really interesting, and the potential is obvious.  Here are some of the pictures I made inside on this first visit.
